Huner Mela 2011 Peshawar, an activity arranged by Culture Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to provide opportunity to artisans of different crafts for displaying their skills at Nishtar Hall Peshawar. The Tourism Corporation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, working under the aegis of Culture Ministry, is arranging such activities for protection and conservation of different arts and customs of the region.
Artisans displaying their art are associated with Wood Carving wood carving, as an art form, includes any kind of sculpture in wood, from the decorative bas-relief on small objects to life-size figures in the round, furniture, and architectural decorations.The artisans, who have inherited the art from their grand fathers, associated with the skill are switching over to other professions for meeting their both ends. If proper measures were not adopted for preservation of vanishing arts of the region, the rich culture of our region which was famous for its unique skills and traditions would become part of folk stories.
a great work of the prvincial government of KPK to provide to the artisians to bring and shares thier mind to people and also represent thier homeland in the word. there is a big oppurtinty in our land in various field but unopportunity no one can take the responsiblity to present these artisens to the world.
ReplyDeleteyes i'm agree with Hussain Bro. its a great job by Govt. of KPK and STC. There are many Diamonds laying under the covers of mud. Our land is very productive and we have many great artist, poets and etc. Great job by Aashiq Nabbi too, thanks Aashiq for giving such information and pix.
